THE OUTSIDERS

Tequila Enemigo was born out of difference, not conformity, and a relentless focus on quality.

Most Premium Tequilas emerge from ruthless opportunism. They see a gap in the market, cobble together a sub-par spirit with a low-quality taste and get a familiar face to endorse it. We believe in taking a stand against style over substance. To be the enemy of this reality.

“Tequila Enemigo is shaking up the alcohol ecosystem around the world.”

“High demand for the product convinced Tequila Enemigo to enter the United States sooner.”

“Meet the young brand that is making forays into the exclusive Hamptons scene.”

“These 28-Year-Old Londoners are taking on George Clooney’s Tequila with Enemigo.”

“A buttery extra añejo that will appeal to the most diehard whiskey drinkers.”

“The 21 best new booze bottles.”

“Tequila Enemigo is drunk, every 1 minute 30 seconds during London’s key drinking hours.”

“This is definitely a Tequila meant to be slowly sipped and savored.”

ENEMIGO 89 AÑEJO CRISTALINO

AWARD-WINNING RARE CLEAR AÑEJO, ENEMIGO 89, is aged traditionally for over a year, resting in custom-made American Oak barrels which infuse and colour the liquid.

What happens next however, is different. We then remove the now dark tequila from the barrels under the watchful eye of our Maestro Tequilero. It is then put through our three phase Carbon-Cellulose filtration system. This process purifies the tequila, creating an extraordinarily smooth, clear liquid which still retains the distinct flavours of a traditional aged Añejo with added hints of coconut and vanilla. Winner of Double Gold at San Francisco 2019.

Enemigo 89 (eighty-nine) was named after the 89 iterations created to perfect the now award winning expression.

YES,

A FLUTE.

Tequila Enemigo is the new
liquid of celebration.

For us, choosing Enemigo means deserving a memorable drinking experience. To really appreciate the smoothness and complexity of flavor, it needs to be sipped. So, what better way to do that than from the purest symbol of elegance and celebration?

ENEMIGO 00 EXTRA AÑEJO

AWARD WINNING ENEMIGO 00, rests undisturbed for over three years, taking in the rich flavours and deep colours from the custom-made American Oak barrels.

Continually throughout the ageing process our Maestro Tequilero tests and checks how the liquid is progressing to ensure that it is perfect when it is eventually taken out of the casks. The ageing process for us, unlike other tequilas, is as monitored as any scientific endeavour. The result at the end is a perfectly balanced tequila with a diverse array of flavours. Enemigo 00 is only produced in limited quantities making every sip something special.

Enemigo 00 (zero-zero) was named as the liquid was flawless from its inception.

OUR UNIQUE PROCESS

SELECT LOWLAND BLUE WEBER AGAVE

Our Tequilas are made from 100% of the finest Blue Weber Agave. The agaves selected are grown for 7-12 years to ensure they meet Enemigo’s quality standards. Volcanic mineral rich soil creates a herbaceous, vegetal profile that lends complexity as compared to highland agave that is grown in red clay and produces a sweeter, often fruity flavor profile.

VOLCÁN DE TEQUILA WATER USED

All water used in Enemigo’s production process is filtered through the mineral rich soil of the Volcán de Tequila, which last erupted 200,000 years ago. This mineral rich filtration adds a further fresh minerality to Enemigo’s flavor profile, creating a more delicate liquid.

CUSTOM, NEW AMERICAN OAK BARRELS

Traditionally, Tequila is aged in re-used, Bourbon barrels. Enemigo uses custom, handmade, new American Oak Barrels, creating it’s unique flavor profile and position in the market. Enemigo’s barrels are hand-crafted by coopers with more than 30 years of experience from selected Quercus alba oak that is air dried and then seasoned in Cuba, Missouri for at least 26 months.
